I moved almost half a year ago to my mother’s ten acre farm. While it is viewed ~not~ ideal to move back in with your parents post grad, I am now reflecting on the fact that I could not have chose a better place to quarantine.
When my mother first moved in, there were about eight barn buildings filled floor to ceiling with “junk,” as she called it. Once I moved back, most of the barns were cleared out, due to the main fact my mother saw it all as trash. As much of it might have been, with what is left, I see treasure. . . in a sense lol. I have taken multiple trips in and out of each barn, scavenging around to see what I can find. I have channeled my inner creative and have started creating treasure from “trash.” . . . I am also just waiting to be the one to find the trap door with hidden money :)
Just so you know what I have been working with, here is a brief "tour." . . (I apologize in advanced for my first attempt at “vlogging.” I promise to expand my vocabulary on future episodes...if there ever is any Ha!)
For the next few weeks during this self isolation period due to the Coronavirus, I’ll continue sharing what is keeping me busy and sane. . .
What I will be doing
Roaming barns for DIY projects and crafts
Reading Books
Setting Timers on Media Apps to limit use
Trying new recipes
Some sort of daily physical exercise
Continuing my Certification for Project Management
Making the most of what can be
What I will ~not~ be doing
Going into public unless necessary
Binge watching or eating
Downloading TikTok
Dwelling on what could be
Share with me what you’ve been up to, and how you are surviving this madness
xoxo
