This plain white dresser was in my room when I arrived to my mom’s house. It seemed like one you would almost purchase from IKEA. . . very plain and simple. However, I am not very plain and simple person, so I wanted to add to it a bit! My on-going Pinterest boards of inspiration and visualizations finally have come handy. Since I have some time, I started a DIY spree! So here’s what has come from it:
BEFORE:

AFTER:

How did I do it?
Ordered Tapered Wood legs on Amazon. Screw-In brackets for each leg, I purchased separately. . . come to realize that there are Sets made, and also sold on Amazon. . . I will remember for next time to lessen the stress of it all ha!
Wood Contact Paper for each Drawer . . . (note: contact paper is one of my closest friends lol. . . I LOVE IT! I have done multiple projects with it in the past. Tip: go for the thicker paper, it seems to stick better on everything); just size out the front of the drawer & stick!
Stained the legs to match the contact paper.
Repainted the dresser white with furniture paint to freshen it up!
Screwed on the brackets, twisted in the feet, slid the drawers back in and VOILA!
TIP: My number one Furniture DIY rule: It must have a good foundation!! This dresser was still sound. Drawers worked perfectly, no dents and/or minor fix-ups.
