Helllloo! I’m back again!
I thoroughly enjoyed writing the weekly posts back in March, and I couldn’t pass up another prime alliteration opportunity, so here we are & I couldn’t be more thrilled! I dropped the ball a few times back in March with the whole “morning” aspect. I decided to switch it up a bit this month.
Most recently, I had written and posted “my testimony,” or at least the beginning of it. First and foremost, I want to thank all of you who reached out and shared your love and appreciation. Thank you for reading, and an even bigger thank you if you made it all the way to the end! Haha! This past year or so has been a whirlwind and I’ve learned so much about myself and others and my faith. There’s nothing more that I want to do now then spread the good news.
The not so good, but not so bad news. . . Since I’ve last posted, I’ve officially become a survivor of COVID19!
Thought I could write a little about my experience with it, in the case a student or someone in many years finds this webpage in search of a primary source for a covid research paper for a primary or high school class. The craziest part of it all was I thought I would make it through the whole pandemic without ever catching the dang thing. But, I did. And, here we are.
To start off… It’s peak allergy season here in Arizona. . . everything, I mean EVERYTHING is blooming, as I’m sure it is all over the continental U.S. Soooo, naturally I thought allergies got the best of me. Covid symptoms align pretty well with basic allergy symptoms, so I would say I was fooled. My best friend/roommate/the one I currently share everything with woke up one morning not feeling too hot & went to get tested, as she is in nursing school and is careful. Less then 48 hours later she informs me she tested positive for COVID. I got a test that evening, and would have been shocked if I was negative. The longest day of my life followed but sure enough, not even a day later I found out I had the VID.
The best advice I can give for COVID is... if you’re gonna get it, get it with your best friend 🤷🏼♀️
SYMPTOMS WE HAD:
Sinus and sinus headache
Congestion
Drowsiness & fatigue . . . i slept for ~16 hours one day, absolutely unheard of for me
Lotssssss of body aches; mostly in lower back and legs
Loss of smell for ~8 days
Lost of taste for ~7 days
1x day of nausea
I did not get the dry cough, but my roommate still has some lingering effects of it
QUARANTINE ACTIVITIES:
Other than still having to do school and work from home; we found a lot of extra time to do other things. . . since we literally could not leave and commute times were minimized from the bed to the couch
We spent a lot of time on the couch. . . binging the flex and Disney+
Getting vitamin D by sitting outside//getting bronzeee
Made soup that we couldn’t tase
When we were’t eating soup, we were eating fruit, veggies and avocado toast
I, personally, read a lotttttt of books
BOOKS I READ:
We were blessed to initially be healthy enough to sustain the virus. I’m thankful there were no major issues or symptoms. Unfortunately, I had to miss out on the wedding of some good friends, which made me a bit upset. But, we were safe, we made it through, and we can live to tell the tale of COVID19. I feel like we were quite late to the covid trend, so a lot of these things have been said, and posted all over - but here was my brief synopsis.
Until next week. . .
Xoxo,
Morg
